This is a true story about two women being called to a greater purpose in life - how a deep sadness, longing or even a sickness can be our profound guide.
South African-born Tarynn Wiehahn just turned 30. Feeling stuck in her life, it strikes her, “How much time do I really have left? What should I do with it while I’m here?”
In Zululand, South Africa, Tarynn meets a white traditional healer named Makhosi Sarah Wager. Almost a decade earlier, Sarah’s health crisis and vivid dreams mysteriously led her from England to her elder Zulu mentor. Sarah and her story inspires Tarynn, especially when one of the elder healers brings forth a surprising assertion: Tarynn, you too have a calling.
This docu-narrative is a work of playful time-bending storytelling. Whether Tarynn is remembering her hitch-hiking experience across the US or having realizations in a hut with Zulu traditional healers, her image of the world is being cracked open to a greater mystery.
Does everyone have a soul sickness calling us to wake up? Leading us beyond our personal limits? And if so, how do we fully answer the call?
